Front Desk Scheduler / Receptionist
We are seeking a highly reliable Front Desk Scheduler / Receptionist to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role is critical to patient care. Dependability, punctuality, and consistency are essential for success in this position.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, patient-focused, and able to manage a front desk environment with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and provide excellent customer service in person and by phone
- Check patients in and out and verify demographic information
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Proactively manage cancellations and no-shows with documented patient outreach
- Assist patients with intake paperwork and confirm completion prior to appointments
- Answer phones and route calls/messages appropriately
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR/EHR system
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and post-visit scheduling
- Communicate clearly with providers, clinical staff, and leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front desk
Required Qualifications
- Proven reliability and strong attendance history
- High school diploma or GED
- Microsoft Office suite- proficiency in Excel
- Medical front desk or receptionist experience
- EMR/EHR experience
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
- Professional demeanor and accountability
